Miracle Ranch is a Christian summer camp features horses and horsemanship classes, plus outdoor activities like archery, field sports, boating, arts & crafts, and water sports.
"At Island Lake, kids get time away from cell phones, computers and all the noise of this world. They get a chance to be independent from parents, to bond with kids from different backgrounds and to spend time with God."

Cabin Assignments

All cabin assignments are made before campers arrive.  For a camper to be assigned to the same cabin as a friend, you and your friend(s) (pick two cabin mates, within two consecutive grades) must have already sent in your requests.

Our Staff

Our counselors and staff undergo an intensive application process and are selected for their Christian commitment and their passion for mentoring youth. Rigorous training is provided for staff who facilitate activities, and all members commit to upholding the highest safety standards and teaching at different levels of skill.

Check-In & Check-Out Times

Please arrive between 3:00pm and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Check-in begins at 3 p.m.  Any special health needs or medications should be given to the Health Supervisor during check-in. Junior Camp check-out is Friday at 9am. Middle School Camp check-out is Saturday at 9am. Horse Extravaganza check-out is Friday at 7pm.

Swim Check

Camper swim checks take place Sunday after the camper check-in. The test consists of a short swim and a brief session of treading water in our swim area under the supervision of our waterfront staff. Please be prepared for this and have the camper’s swimwear accessible.

Family Day

Parents and family are invited to stay for our old-fashioned barbecue and Western Show right after check-in. The cost is $5 per person or $15 per family for dinner. This is a great opportunity to get a taste of what your camper will experience all week long. Family day ends and camp begins at 6:30 p.m.

Phoning & Visiting

We are fully conscious of our great responsibility to care for your camper. In the case of any emergency, either physical or otherwise, you will be notified promptly. Consequently, we do not allow personal phone calls, either incoming or outgoing, or personal visitation during the camp session due to the interruption to the schedule and the effect on camper morale. If a serious concern arises, you may contact the camp director to discuss the situation.

Lost and Found

Please label all belongings with camper’s name and phone number. If the camper leaves something behind, call with a detailed description of the item and the week of camp attended. You will be asked to provide the postage required to return the item.

Store Deposit

We use a “bank” system so campers do not need to keep track of cash during the week. You may send store deposits with your camp fee payments, call our office at least two weeks before your camp session or deposit spending money in your camper’s store account when you check in on the first day of camp. Any money not spent will be refunded in cash to the camper on Saturday morning at breakfast.

Spending money may be used for the following:

  • Trail rides: $20 for a one-hour ride (subject to availability)
  • Camp clothing and merchandise (stickers, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc.):  $1 to $40
  • Snacks: $0.25 to $1.25
  • Cabin Picture (4”x 6”; purchased from the Trading Post at check-in, and delivered on the last day of camp): $4
