Help Miracle Ranch maintain its herd
We need your help to give each horse all the care they need.
Horse-loving campers and therapeutic riders, our horses are at Miracle Ranch need your help! We have a herd of horses that call Miracle Ranch home. While other parts of camp require less care, our horses need a lot of love and daily care. That includes giving each one quality feed, water, grooming, riding, and healthcare. It also requires cleaning their stalls, arena, and barn, and maintaining the trails they exercise on.
If you’ve met our horses, you know that they are very special. They are part of our family … and they can be part of yours when you join the Miracle Horse Club and help provide for their needs. We need you to help us take care of a horse that you love, or one you have yet to meet, at Miracle Ranch. The proper boarding of each horse costs approximately $10,000 for the year.
Will you become a member of our Miracle Horse Club and sponsor one of our horses so that they can continue to serve our campers.

Oprah is a sweetheart of a horse! We love her patience and steadiness with campers of all ages. Oprah has been a part of the Miracle Ranch herd for more than a decade. During her earlier years she was used as both a trail horse and a lesson horse for more advanced riding students. As our therapeutic riding program grew, we began to run Oprah through various tests to see if she would be a good fit for the program. She passed every test with flying colors. Not only is Oprah calm and steady when carrying a rider, she is also incredibly patient. Some of our riders require quite a bit assistance when mounting and dismounting their horse. This process can be difficult for some horses who don’t like to stand still at our mounting ramp for a long period of time while the rider is assisted on to the horse. Oprah is one of the horses that our staff can trust to stand still for as long as is needed during the mounting process. While Oprah can be strong willed when interacting with other horses because she is the lead mare of the herd, we see an incredibly patient and quiet side of her when she is around our campers and riders. When working with her we are reminded that God is both powerful and compassionate.

Queenie is one of our favorite trail horses. She loves taking riders through the forest at camp. Many of our Miracle Ranch horses join our herd because their owners are entering a different life stage and can’t give their horses the attention they need anymore. Queenie’s owner, like many of our horses’ owners, was starting college and would also be studying abroad. Because she wouldn’t have as much time to spend with Queenie, she wanted to make sure Queenie went to a home where she would be well cared for and have a purpose. Queenie easily adapted to the life of a ranch horse and has been a favorite trail horse for campers every summer. Queenie is also used in our intermediate and advanced arena classes and is a great teacher for students who are beginning to jump. However, we have found that Queenie is happiest out in the forest taking campers on trail rides, so that’s where she spends most of her time. We are so thankful for individuals like Queenie’s owner who entrust us with their special horses.
