About CRISTA Camps

CRISTA Camps strives to provide memorable camp experiences where people encounter Christ and servant leaders are developed, so that lives and communities are transformed.

CRISTA Camps, set in the stunning forests of the Olympic Peninsula, brings fun and adventure to the young and young-at-heart. With two unique properties at Island Lake and Miracle Ranch, each award-winning camp welcomes guests with a one-of-a-kind experience, connecting them with nature through activities like swimming, archery, paintball, horses, dirt bikes and high ropes adventures.

History

CRISTA Camps dates back to the summer of 1960, when a series of “miracles” made possible the purchase of 70 forested acres on Horseshoe Lake. That property became Miracle Ranch, our western style camp in Port Orchard, Washington. By 1966, Miracle Ranch was serving over 600 campers each summer. Fast forward eight years to 1974, and Miracle Ranch busily served over 1,200 overnight campers, 90 day campers, and 1,045 weekend campers – it had become THE place to be each summer! Camping at Island Lake began in 1945, and joined the CRISTA Camps family nearly 30 years later in 1974.

Our focus has been and continues to be creating an environment committed to challenging campers to grow spiritually and to build relationships with friends, counselors, and their Creator in a beautiful, outdoor, adventure-filled environment. We’d love for you to become part of the rich history of CRISTA Camps by joining our family of campers, staff, interns and supporters.
